Doctor’s and Grandma’s Help

Last month, I had a terrible cold. I was coughing a lot, my throat hurt, and I felt very tired. When you feel sick, it’s important to rest and drink plenty of water. I decided to visit the doctor to know what to do. The doctor examined me and said that if I wanted to get better, I had to take some medicine and sleep at least eight hours every night.

The doctor gave me good advice. He told me to take vitamin C every day to strengthen my immune system and to avoid cold drinks. He also said that if my fever got higher, I should go back to the clinic. I followed his instructions carefully because I wanted to recover quickly and return to work.

When I came home, my grandma also wanted to help. She said that if I drank hot tea with honey and lemon, my throat would feel better. She told me to stay warm and to eat chicken soup to get more energy. I know her home remedies don’t replace the doctor’s treatment, but they always make me feel loved and comfortable.

After a few days, I started to feel much better. I learned that if you mix modern medicine with natural remedies, you can heal faster. Now, whenever I get a cold, I remember both the doctor’s and my grandma’s advice—to take care of my body and to rest enough to stay healthy.
