Cuando queremos obtener mayor información, usaremos Preguntas Wh.

Para formar este tipo de preguntas solo agregamos la palabra interrogativa, o Wh-word al principio de la estructura de una Yes/No Question.
Ahora para responder este tipo de preguntas va a variar según la palabra interrogativa que se utilice.

nombre de un objeto. |
Examples:
What are they? They are teachers.
What is it? * It is a crayon.
* Recuerda que " It" es un pronombre neutro, se puede utilizar para referirse a objetos, animales o lugares.

Pregunta por un lugar. |
Examples:
Where are you? I am in Guatemala.
Where is she? She is at school.
Where are they? They are in the kitchen.

Cuándo |
Pregunta por una fecha, puede ser día, mes,año. Muy pocas veces por la hora. |
Examples:
When is your birthday? It's on July 19th.
When is your English exam? It's on Monday.
When is Christmas? It's in December. My favorite month.

Cómo |
Por si solo pregunta por un estado, sin embargo es
una palabra que al agregarle un adjetivo u otra palabra cambia su
significado. |
Examples:
How are you? I'm fine, thanks.
How old is he? (how + old) He is 5 years old. (Pregunta por edad, o antigüedad)
How far is your house? (how + far) It's 1 kilometer from here. (pregunta por distancia, Qué tan lejos)
